A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COLUMBUS
CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT AND THE COLUMBUS CONVENTION AND VISITORS' BUREAU. whereas, the Columbus Convention and Visitors' Bureau is a branch of the Columbus
Consolidated Government created by Ordinance No.80-51 to promote tourism, trade
and conventions for the benefit of Columbus; and,
whereas, the Columbus Convention and Visitors' Bureau desires to borrow certain funds
from the Columbus Consolidated Government to further their public purposes,
including the relocation of the Bureau to 911 Front Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Columbus Consolidated Government wishes to assist the Bureau with
the relocation by loaning certain funds to the Bureau upon the terms and
conditions set forth in this Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an Intergovernmental
Agreement between the Columbus Consolidated Government and the Columbus
Convention and Visitors Bureau, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
2. The Finance Director is authorized to make payment in the amount of $100,000
from General Fund Contingency funds to the Columbus Convention and Visitors
Bureau pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in this Intergovernmental
Agreement.
