A Resolution Authorizing THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH NORFOLK SOUTHERN FOR RAILROAD

CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS AT WILLIAMS ROAD, 9TH STREET AND BROAD, 9TH STREET AND

2ND AVENUE AND 9TH STREET AND VETERANS AND OTHER CROSSINGS AS NEEDED FOR A SUM

NOT TO EXCEED $200,000. whereas, The City and Norfolk Southern have worked together in the past to improve

railroad crossing throughout the County; and,
whereas, The City will coordinate the work schedule with Norfolk and pay Norfolk for

the material and labor for work performed; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement

with Norfolk Southern for Railroad Crossing improvements at Williams Road, 9th

Street and Broad, 9th Street and 2nd Avenue and 9th Street and Veterans and

other crossings as needed for a sum not to exceed $200,000.
