A RESOLUTION

NO.



WHEREAS, Lieutenant Charles Stevens will retire from Dinglewood Pharmacy on

June 8, 2002;

WHEREAS, Lt. Stevens has been with Dinglewood Pharmacy for 56 years and has fed

his famous scrambled dogs to a substantial portion of the Columbus community

and many national celebrities over the course of his career;

WHEREAS, he has worked in many charity events over the years which have helped

raise money for the betterment of this community;

WHEREAS, he has often offered sensible advice to hungry high school students,

curious visitors from other lands, and political office holders, local, state

and federal;

WHEREAS, Lieutenant Stevens is a Columbus legend and his career is worthy of

special recognition by this Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby commend and congratulate Lieutenant Charles Stevens upon his

retirement. He has diligently served Dinglewood Pharmacy and the Columbus

community for the past 56 years. We wish for him happiness and contentment in

his retirement. Let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Lieutenant

Charles Stevens.

4th day of June, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
