Isaiah Hugley Suggest that the Chair Person, Jenny Collins should precede the

monthly meeting



Brian Hercules: We struggle to understand what our purpose is being a member of

the Columbus Civic Center Advisory Board

The board members never felt like they were ever asked for advice

Isaiah Hugley: We need advice and help from the board members

Jim Martin: Purpose of the Advisory Board

City needs the events

We need some class acts

How do we make this deal profitable and how do we get them in here?

C. L. Moffitt: We are not a management board

Skate Park should had been put in front of the Advisory board

Isaiah Hugley: Agrees with C. L. Moffitt this is what he invision the meeting

was about

Isaiah Hugley: Will met with Chairperson, Jenny Collins and 2nd Chairperson,

Jim Martin to discuss the issues and let the Chairperson take over the meetings.

Sam Wetzel: By-Law Guidelines number six sounds like this Advisory Board:

To recommend programs, activities or projects to the Civic Center and

the community.

Mary Walker-Crooks: Where are we with a new director?

Isaiah Hugley: Getting application together now

In next two weeks will set up a selection committee to interview-would

like two people from the Advisory Board to sit on the committee

Selection Committee will interview the candidates

Carmen Caverzza, City Manager and Isaiah Hugley, Deputy City Manger

will interview the candidates

Probably talking ? best case November or December, worse case January

Brian Hercules: Would like to see for example the Three Dogs Night and America

event break down on the money. What the building made and where the building

made the money, what are the building expenses for an event?

Karen Thompson: Explain how the building does the revenue

Isaiah Hugley: Revenue-once you see it on paper you will understand

Isaiah Hugley: Civic Center will give the Advisory Board a break down of an

event

Karen Thompson: Financial of The Festival at South Commons

Compared this year from last year attendance

Great weather this year

Revenue

35% of rides

65% to the building/Gates

Art Thomason: Came to The Festival at South Commons

Security was good on all gates

Isaiah Hugley: In my opinion the festival is doing well this year!

Civic Center also has Youth and Adult Hockey Association teams that schedule

time to use the ice

The city hears them

And it is going to happen



Art Thomason: What?s the closet city that has a Skate Park?

Isaiah Hugley: LaGrange but it does not have an ice rink
