WHEREAS, Mrs. Emily J. Murk, former employee with the Columbus Police
Department, died on August 12, 2005;
WHEREAS, Mrs. Murk retired on May 31, 1977 after serving 10 years with the
Columbus Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Mrs. Emily J. Murk our sincere condolences
and deepest sympathy. Mrs. Murk was an outstanding employee with the Columbus
Police Department and she will be missed by all who knew her.

WHEREAS, Ms. Murmue Clagett, former employee with the Muscogee Manor Rehab
Center, died on October 29, 2005;
WHEREAS, Ms. Clagett retired on October 3, 2001 after serving 30 years with the
Muscogee Manor Rehab Center.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Ms. Murmue Clagett our sincere condolences
and deepest sympathy. Ms. Clagett was an outstanding employee with the
Muscogee Manor Rehab Center and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Recreation Department, died on September 3, 2005;
WHEREAS, Mr. Simmons retired on November 30, 1992 after serving 6 years with
the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Willie L. Simmons our sincere condolences
and deepest sympathy. Mr. Simmons was an outstanding employee with the
Columbus Parks and Recreation and he will be missed by all who knew him.

the Columbus Fire and EMS Department.

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Victor F. Schmidt our sincere condolences
and deepest sympathy. Mr. Schmidt was an outstanding employee with the

We hereby convey to the family of Mrs. Martha Nell Parker our sincere
condolences and deepest sympathy. Mrs. Parker was an outstanding employee with
the Columbus Tax Commissioner and she will be missed by all who knew her.
