A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Roderick Hood, former star football player for Carver High School and

Auburn University, has recently signed a free-agent contract with the

Philadelphia Eagles;



WHEREAS, as a senior cornerback at Auburn, Roderick had 25 tackles, nine pass

deflections, two interceptions and averaged almost 20 yards on kickoff returns

and 12 yards on punt returns;



WHEREAS, Roderick fondly refers to Columbus as "C-town" and we wish to convey

the support of his hometown as he embarks on his new career;



WHEREAS, Roderick's achievements at Carver High School, Auburn University and

his agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles are worthy of special recognition by

this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Roderick Hood upon his agreement with the

Philadelphia Eagles and his outstanding play at both Carver High School and

Auburn University. We wish him every success as he embarks upon his

professional career in Philadelphia. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded

to Roderick Hood.
