NO.



WHEREAS, Sgt. 1st Class Stephen Williams, Sgt. Jonathan Haley and Dan Niblett

recently assisted victims of a fire at Whisperwood Apartments in Columbus;



WHEREAS, on September 13, 2003, Sgt. Williams, Sgt. Haley and Dan Niblett noted

smoke billowing from a nearby apartment and rushed into various apartment units

on two floors, rescuing a sleeping occupant and a Labrador Retriever;



WHEREAS, Sgt. Williams, the operations sergeant with Fort Benning's Infantry

Training Brigade, Sgt. Haley, a Black Hawk helicopter crew chief with the 498th

Air Ambulance Medical Company and Dan Niblett, service technician with

Whisperwood Apartments, are to be commended for their brave actions at

Whisperwood Apartments.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend Sgt. 1st Class Stephen Williams, Sgt. Jonathan Haley and Dan

Niblett for their courageous and brave conduct while searching for and rescuing

victims of a fire at Whisperwood Apartments in Columbus. Let a copy of this

resolution be forwarded to Sgt. 1st Class Stephen Williams, Sgt. Jonathan and

Dan Niblett.
