FROM: Richard Bishop, Deputy City Manager SUBJECT: Comprehensive Plan



On August 17, Staff will bring to City Council the Comprehensive Plan Update

for Chapter 8. Staff is recommending two changes to the Plan that has

previously been reviewed by Council.

The two changes are:

1. R-2 zoning was proposed to go to from Low Density Residential Land

Use to Medium Density Residential Land Use; in the revised recommendation, R-2

will remain in Low Density Residential

2. The area between Blackmon Road and Pierce Chapel Road was

recommended to go from a Low Density Residential Land Use to Rural Residential

Land Use; in the revised recommendation this area will remain Low Density

Residential

The approval of these two recommendations will gain support of the

Comprehensive Plan Update from the Home Builder's Association.
