A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, the Columbus High School Blue Devils Baseball Team won the 2004 Class

AAAA Georgia State Championship held in Newnan, Georgia;



WHEREAS, the Blue Devils played the season without a single loss advancing them

to the fifth and final victory round with Northgate High School clinching the

title in two games of 11-0 and 9-1;



WHEREAS, the Blue Devils finished the season with a record of 35-2 for a total

of eight Georgia State Championships;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the Columbus High School Blue Devils

baseball players Cody Belt, Ric Bishop, Sam Coley, Doug Hardman, Marshall

LeBleu, Wes Mobley, Bo Roberts, Brad Rulon, Michael Sims, Tyler Causey, Anthony

Ermi, Adam Fuller, Jeremy Haick, Zack Martin, Jonathan Moore, Iain Sebastian,

Carson Tate, Billy Capps, Adam Coe, Alex Fuller, Merit Hicks, Robert Johnson,

Ty Kelley, James Kennebrew, Elliott Ogawa, Alan Taylor, Trey Thombley, Tyler

Baughman, Dan Beck, Matt Fober, Ray Harralson and Adrian Thomas, Coaches Bobby

Howard, David Smart, Russell Henderson, Mike Getkin and Jeff Boatner and

Principal Susan Bryant upon their 2004 Class AAAA State Championship. Columbus

is justly proud of this team?s hard work and dedication and we wish them every

success in the future. Let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the

above-named participants.
