A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABANDONMENT OF AN EXISTING FIFTEEN FOOT STORM

DRAIN EASEMENT AS SHOWN ON REPLAT PART OF LOT 2, LOT 3 AND LOT 4, BLOCK "D",

EDGEWOOD TO BUCK INVESTMENT COMPANY.

WHEREAS, the owner of the property, Buck Investment Company, has requested the

City abandon the fifteen foot storm drain easement in order to make full use of

the property; which property is located at 3740 Macon Road; and,

WHEREAS, the owner has properly installed a new storm drain system to replace

the existing storm drain system, and wishes to maintain the new system by

designation as a private easement; and,

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has no other use for the aforementioned portion of

the existing fifteen foot storm drain easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to abandon a certain portion of

storm drainage easement shown on replat part of Lot 2, Lot 3 and Lot 4, Block

"D" Edgewood located at 3740 Macon Road and execute a Quit Claim Deed to Buck

Investment Company.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

21st day of January 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of members of said Council.
