With the assistance of PAWS, we have implemented an assistance program for our

troops assigned to Ft. Benning. Any of our service men or women who have been

deployed and have animals and are not able to continue to care for them, we

have implemented adoption sights on our web pages (PAWS & AC) to assist them in

finding new homes for their pets.



We act as the middle man in connecting these pet owners with people who are

looking to adopt or to foster animals for these troops. This service has

gained national press attention. Yesterday at 1:00 Channel 11 out of Atlanta,

an NBC affiliate came down and interviewed myself, Beth Taylor (PAWS Press

Coordinator) and Francis on how the deployment of so many troops has affected

our shelter. After the interviews with NBC, the producer for the CBS Early

Show contacted Beth requesting an interview. We are awaiting their return call

to confirm their requests.



PAWS is making a name for their organization and in the process consistently

and tirelessly bringing the great efforts of this division to the forefront. I

will keep you all posted on the CBS Early Show request. As a reminder we will

be flying to Richmond, VA on Friday to visit the Richmond ASPCA. This should

be a very educational trip.
