A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Spencer High School Greenwaves boys basketball team recently
finished seventh in the Georgia AAA rankings;
WHEREAS, the Greenwaves finished an outstanding season with a record of 20-9
and a victory in the 2AAA Region Tournament Championship;
WHEREAS, in the region and state playoffs, Spencer defeated Jordan 62-48,
defeated Troup County 46-40 (region championship), defeated Washington County
81-68 and lost in an overtime thriller to Dougherty 72-71;
WHEREAS, the Greenwaves? accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by
this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the following members of the Spencer High
School Greenwaves boys basketball team upon their outstanding season, victory
in the 2AAA Region Tournament Championship and their seventh place Georgia
ranking: Xavier Raymond, Azive Armour, Bernard Toombs, Tobias Anthony, Fred
Brathwaite, Zack Williams, Marcus Marshall, Eddie Jones, Julius White, Honduras
Ingram, Kareem Carter, Bruce Kelly, Head Coach George Williams, Assistant Coach
Odell Hardiman and Principal Olivia Rutledge. Let a copy of this Resolution be
forwarded to the above-named participants.
