Description Let?s revisit the issue regarding the program that targeted the

potential youth dropouts to get them into a structured program where they would

have a mentor to assist them, or check with the Muscogee County School District

to see if they could follow through with this program. (Request of Councilor

Woodson)

Response . The program at military installations started by the GA National

Guard have been discontinued because of the war which has diverted manpower and

resources from such programs to the War on Terrorism. It probably will not be

resurrected in the near future. Dr. Phillips informed me that he has initiated

an evening school program which is working well. There are no other formal

programs working at this time.
