WHEREAS, Mr. Robert G. Matthews, a Captain with the Columbus Police Department,
retired on May 31, 2002;
WHEREAS, Mr. Matthews has been with the Columbus Police Department since
February 16, 1972.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
This Council hereby expresses its appreciation for the diligent and faithful
service of
MR. ROBERT G. MATTHEWS
who has served with the Columbus Police Department for almost 30 years. We
wish for him happiness and contentment in his retirement.

WHEREAS, Mr. Jimmy J. Redmon, a Deputy Marshal with the Marshal?s Department,
retired on May 31, 2002;
WHEREAS, Mr. Redmon has been with the Marshal?s Department since January 15,
1990.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
This Council hereby expresses its appreciation for the diligent and faithful

MR. JIMMY J. REDMON
who has served with the Marshal?s Department for 12 years. We wish for him
happiness and contentment in his retirement.
