The school year for the Muscogee County School District ends on May 20, 2005.
The Parks and Recreation Department has been required to make cuts in its FY06
Budget resulting in personnel reductions for part time staff. This will
require the department to adjust hours at recreation center, the tennis center
and swimming pools. Attached you will find the proposed new hours based on the
FY06 Budget reductions. New hours are being submitted for your review now as
we plan to implement the new schedule effective May 23, 2005. We propose
making the changes on May 23, 2005 so as students start to come in after school
is out, they will immediately adjust to the new hours rather than start now
with the old hours and be required to adjust to the new hours on July 1, 2005
after the new budget becomes effective.
