WHEREAS, Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital has recently sponsored the

construction of a 1,500 square foot pavilion at the Bull Creek Golf Course;



WHEREAS, the Hughston Sports Medicine Pavilion will offer an attractive place

for golfers and tournament participants to gather before and after playing

rounds at Bull Creek;



WHEREAS, the covered and lighted pavilion contains restroom facilities and

ceiling fans and will enhance the golfing experience for both casual outings

and tournament players;



WHEREAS, the Hughston Sports Medicine Pavilion will play a vital part in the

efforts of the Greater Columbus Golf Authority to build one of the finest

municipal golf operations in the United States and serves as a great example of

public-private partnerships in Columbus.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and express our deep appreciation to the Hughston Sports Medicine

Hospital and the following contributing sponsors for their generous support of

the new Hughston Sports Medicine Pavilion at the Bull Creek Golf Course:

Lafarge Building Materials (formerly Blue Circle Building Materials), Curtis

Sign Company, Milton Sanders Building Contractors, Danny Renfroe's Roofing, ABC

Supply and the Consolidated Government Department of Public Services,

Department of Facilities Maintenance and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital

and the other contributing sponsors.
