A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A COMMUNITY

PARTNER AGREEMENT WITH KABOOM! TO ERECT A PLAYGROUND SYSTEM AT BENNING HILLS

PARK.

WHEREAS, KaBOOM! is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization chartered in the

District of Columbia and established to develop, manage and coordinate

community-building playgrounds; and,

WHEREAS, KaBOOM! has received charitable support from W.C. Bradley Company and

Home Depot in the amount of $25,000 each to erect a playground system at

Benning Hills Park, requiring a $7,000 match from the City of Columbus which

will be funded through the 1993 SPLOST.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into the KaBOOM!

Community Partner Agreement on with W.C. Bradley Company and Home Depot in the

amount of $25,000 each to erect a playground system at Benning Hills Park,

requiring a $7,000 match from the City of Columbus, which will be funded

through the 1993 SPLOST.
