(A) LIGHTING AT NORTH RIVERWALK



It is requested that Council authorize the purchase of site lighting at North

Riverwalk from Georgia Power in the amount of $20,971.94. Per Resolution No.

708-02 (Bid No. 03-0024), Council authorized the execution of a construction

contract for Phase II of the Riverwalk. The 25th Street to Bibb Mill section of

the North Riverwalk is in the process of completion. A part of the project is

the installation of site lighting. Georgia Power will install 22 poles and

fixtures for this section. In the past, Georgia Power has provided all site

lighting.



Funds are budgeted in FY04 Budget, Lease Revenue Bonds, Building Authority

Series 1999B ? General Construction, North Riverwalk;

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SITE LIGHTING AT NORTH RIVERWALK FROM

GEORGIA POWER IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,971.94.



WHEREAS, Per Resolution No. 708-02 (Bid No. 03-0024), Council

authorized the execution of a construction contract for Phase II of the

Riverwalk. The 25th Street to Bibb Mill section of the North Riverwalk is in

the process of completion. A part of the project is the installation of site

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase site lighting at

North Riverwalk from Georgia Power in the amount of $20,971.94. Funds are

budgeted in FY04 Budget, Lease Revenue Bonds, Building Authority Series 1999B ?

General Construction, North Riverwalk; 0550-200-2431-6561-CBA-4020100B.

Scope of Bid

Provide preventive maintenance and/or repair service for chillers at

various locations. The contract term shall be for one (1) year, with the option

to renew for two (2) additional twelve-month periods. Contract will

automatically be renewed on the anniversary date of the contract, unless either

party gives a 30-day written notice of cancellation.
