AN ORDINANCE
NO.
An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 568, 602, 608, and 614 Chesterfield Avenue, from C-2 (Neighborhood
Shopping) District to R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from C-2 (Neighborhood
Shopping) District to R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District:
Lots numbered 17 and 18 in Block lettered ?C?, said lots being adjacent and
having a combined frontage of fifty (50) feet on the East side of Chesterfield
Avenue and extending squarely back southward between parallel lines to depth of
151.49 feet on the north boundary of Lot #17 and to a depth of 151.36 feet on
the south boundary line of Lot #18 to the eastern boundary line of Radcliff
Place Survey. This being the same property as that conveyed by the Trust
Company of Columbus to Jack B. Key and Joe W. Blackmon by warranty deed dated
October 24, 1934, and recorded on October 31, 1934 in Deed Book 120, Folio 236
in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
And
All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and in RADCLIFF PLACE SURVEY according to a
map of said survey appearing of record in the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, in Deed Book 67, Page 39, and being
designated on said map as Lots Numbered 15 and 16, in Block Lettered ?C?.
And
Lot numbered 14 in Block lettered ?C? in RADCLIFF PLACE SURVEY, said lot having
a frontage of thirty-seven (37) feet on the East side of Chesterfield Avenue
and extending squarely back southward between parallel lines to depth of 151
feet on the north boundary of said Lot.
And
All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and in RADCLIFF PLACE SURVEY according to a
map of said survey appearing of record in the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, in Deed Book 67, Page 39, and being
designated on said map as Lot Numbered 12 and Part of Lot Numbered 13, in Block
Lettered ?C?. This being the same property as that conveyed by R.B. Carver to
A.C. Hobbs by Deed dated November 3, 1937, and recorded in Deed Book 140, Folio
180 in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia.
