A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, students from Calvary Christian School recently placed 1st in the
Region competition for Odyssey of the Mind;
WHEREAS, the seven 4th and 5th graders also placed second in the Georgia state
competition;
WHEREAS, as a result of this outstanding performance, the Calvary team will now
compete in the International Odyssey of the Mind competition which will take
place in Ames, Iowa;
WHEREAS, the Odyssey of the Mind program promotes creative team-based problem
solving, helps students participate in a series of challenging and motivating
activities, and is open to public and private schools in Georgia;
WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Calvary Christian School students Greg
Bourke, Kelsey Harris, Julie Hutchins, Joel May, Kelly Raun, Michelle Sacier,
and Sam Webb and Coach Linda May for their outstanding performance in the
Georgia Odyssey of the Mind competition. We wish them every success in the
upcoming International Competition in Ames, Iowa. Let a copy of this
resolution be forwarded to the above-named participants.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
6th day of May, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
