A RESOLUTION

NO.



WHEREAS, the North Columbus Babe Ruth All-Stars (15 age group) recently won the

2002 Georgia State Championship and finished as runner up in the Southeast

Regional Championship held at Columbus State University;



WHEREAS, North Columbus won the State Championship with a record of 3-0 and

defeated Richmond Hill 10-0, and defeated Bull Creek twice by scores of 12-6

and 7-5;



WHEREAS, in the Regional Championship, North Columbus defeated Tennessee 13-6,

lost to Alabama 9-8, defeated Bull Creek 10-3, defeated Virginia 16-4 and

defeated Alabama 3-2 and lost to Florida 7-6;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the following North Columbus Babe Ruth

All-Stars (15 age group) upon their victory in the 2002 Georgia State

Championship and their second place finish in the Southeast Regional

Championship: Josh Browning, Tyler Causey, Kyle Dutton, Joe Foor, Adam Fuller,

Tony Lott, Terry McGlaun, Pierce Moore, Iain Sebastian, Carson Strickland,

Carson Tate, Geoff Vandel, Ben Wallace and Zack Williams, Manager Joey

Browning, Coaches Patrick Fields and Mike Sinquefield, and Team Mom Amy

Strickland. Columbus is truly proud of this state championship team?s hard

work and dedication and we wish them every success in the future.
