The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at

2:00PM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessors Richard Stallings, Ann

Grantham, William Braxton and Pat Hunter present. Also present was Chief

Appraiser Martin J. Land.



Assessor Ann Grantham made a motion to approve Minutes #21-03, Assessor Richard

Stallings second the motion, motion carried unanimously.



The Board reviewed a letter of appeal from D L Jordan regarding his

conservation use application and agreed they should respond to his letter. The

Board asked Chief Appraiser Martin Land to draft a letter for the Chairman?s

signature responding to Mr. Jordan.



Chief Appraiser Martin Land presented the residential parcels, which were

reviewed and approved by the Board:



Revaluations: 3

New Construction: 3

2003 Map Split: 1



The Board reviewed two parcels that were partially complete on January 1, 2003

and homestead exemption was applied for. The Board denied the requests for

homestead exemption.



Met with Commercial Division Chief Linda King, reviewed and approved the

following:

Permits: 66

SUBD Reval: 2



Met with Personal Property Division Chief Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved

the following:



Freeport Applications: 2 (Approved)
