Subject Springlake Subdivision



Description Have the staff to provide a status report on the problem with the

washout on Effingham Way. Also, have the staff to address his concerns with

the water flow and water runoff coming off of Columbus Park Crossing and

running back over through Springlake Subdivision and Windsor Park. Let?s also

make sure we are doing everything we can to control the water flow to keep

things like this from happening. (Request of Councilor Davis)

Response Staff is reviewing this referral and will provide a report within two

weeks. The initial phases of Columbus Park included construction of two

detention ponds which do not drain into Ginger Lake. As new sites are built

they are required to provide detention on their site, if it has not been

compensated for in the original ponds, i.e. BMW, Greystone Apartments. The

survey information has been completed on the study for the structure on

Effingham Way. We should have preliminary concepts to review in the next month.
