WHEREAS, Mr. Michael P. Bailey, with the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department,
retired on July 31, 2004;
WHEREAS, Mr. Bailey has been with the Sheriff's Department since February 7,
1976.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
This Council hereby expresses its appreciation for the diligent and faithful
service of
MR. MICHAEL P. BAILEY
who has served with the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department for 28 years. We
wish for him happiness and contentment in his retirement.

July 31, 2004;
WHEREAS, Mr. Ford has been with the Public Services Department since November

Department, died on June 16, 2004;
WHEREAS, Mr. Qualls retired on August 1, 1996 after serving 37 years with the
Columbus Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Larry D. Qualls our sincere condolences
and deepest sympathy. Mr. Qualls was an outstanding employee of the Columbus
