A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, WTVM in Columbus recently sponsored the Thunder on the Hooch and God

and Country Celebration on July 4, 2005;



WHEREAS, the event held on both sides of the Chattahoochee River provided

entertainment, various vendors, live music and good fun to families from

Columbus, Phenix City, Ft. Benning and the surrounding area;



WHEREAS, thousands attended the event which also included a fireworks display

and Fourth of July Celebration;



WHEREAS, WTVM?s sponsorship of this annual event is worthy of special

recognition by this Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to WTVM for their

sponsorship of the annual Thunder on the Hooch and God and Country Celebration.

Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Lee Brantley, General Manager

of WTVM.





Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held on

the 19TH day of July, 2005, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of ______ members of said Council.
