MINUTES # 47-05



The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, November 30,

2005, at 2:00PM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessors Ann Grantham,

Richard Stallings, William Braxton and Pat Hunter present. Also present was

Interim Chief Appraiser Betty J. Middleton.



Assessor Ann Grantham made a motion to approve Minutes # 46-05, Assessor

William Braxton seconded the motion, motion carried unanimously.



The Board approved assessment corrections for real estate.



Met with Mr. Henderson, Mr. Morrison and Mr. Lyons representing Grace Baptist

Church requesting non-taxability for property located at 8600 Warm Springs Rd

(127 001 012). Mr. Henderson said the property was rented as of January 1,

2005. The Board did not grant tax exempt status for 2005; however, will

consider the application for the year 2006.



Met with City Attorney Clifton Fay to discuss the wording of the inducement

letters for the Development Authority Bonds. The Board postponed the decision

until December 14, 2005.



The Board received a proposal from the arbitrators regarding Exide Technology,

account # 00111901 and 00112001. The Board delayed action until next week to

further review the proposal and seek City Attorney Clifton Fay?s advice.



The Board took no action on changing the values regarding personal property

account # 05712501, since the requested information was not furnished.
