Description Have the staff to do some research and check and see if we can put

a Marina in the Enterprise Zone. (Request of Councilor McDaniel)

Response Currently, facilities such as marinas are not permitted in Enterprise

Zones. We have a request with the State Legislature to include commercial

property and day care centers. The marina area is way removed from the

existing Enterprise Zone and probably does not meet the demographic

requirements for inclusion in the Enterprise Zone. We will check that.

Recently, we have had some informal queries from marina developers in Atlanta.

We will meet with them to see if they are credible.
