WHEREAS, Mr. Herbert B. Howard, former employee with the Transit/METRA

Department, died on June 3, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Howard was employed with the Transit/METRA Department since August

3, 1974.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Herbert B. Howard our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Howard was an outstanding employee of the

Transit/METRA Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnnie E. Spinks, former employee with the Transit/METRA

Department, died on June 9, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Spinks was employed with the Transit/METRA Department since August

1, 1967.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Johnnie E. Spinks our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Spinks was an outstanding employee of the

Transit/METRA Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

on June 17, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Averett was employed with the Columbus Water Works since January

15, 1946.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Aaron Averett our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mr. Averett was an outstanding employee of the Columbus

Water Works and he will be missed by all who knew him.

July 3, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Taylor was employed with Public Services since December 21, 1976.

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Roland D. Taylor our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Taylor was an outstanding employee of the Public

Services and he will be missed by all who knew him.
