A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Columbus veterans and other citizens will honor two local recipients
of the Medal of Honor on National Medal of Honor Day, March 25, 2002;
WHEREAS, Colonel Robert B. Nett and Major Freeman V. Horner will be recognized
for their service to their country at a special ceremony at the VFW Post 665 in
Columbus on National Medal of Honor Day;
WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to specially recognize Colonel
Robert B. Nett and Major Freeman V. Horner as Medal of Honor recipients on
National Medal of Honor Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to Colonel Robert B. Nett
and Major Freeman V. Horner for their dedicated service to their country and
the Columbus community. We hereby express our support of their recognition on
National Medal of Honor
Day. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Colonel
Robert B. Nett and Major Freeman V. Horner.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
19th day of March, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
