A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DEED FOR A 20 FT. SANITARY SEWER
EASEMENT THAT WILL TOTAL APPROXIMATELY 0.54 +/- ACRES THROUGH CITY PROPERTY TO
BRIGHTON PARK APARTMENTS FOR THE SANITARY SEWER LINE CURRENTLY SERVING MIDLAND
CHASE SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, Brighton Park Apartment wishes to construct a sanitary sewer easement
line through City property; and,
WHEREAS, the sanitary sewer line is currently behind and serves Midland Chase
Subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, Columbus Water Works has approved the plans for the 20 ft. sanitary
sewer easement through approximately 0.54 +/- acres of City property;
and,
WHEREAS, the City has no present or future use for said portions of the
easement; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Brighton Park Apartments will bear all
cost associated with the construction and maintenance of the sanitary sewer.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a deed to Brighton Park
Apartment for a 20 ft. sanitary sewer easement that will total approximately
0.54 +/- acres through City property to connect Brighton Park Apartments to the
sanitary sewer line currently serving Midland Chase Subdivision and file said
deed with the Clerk of Superior Court for permanent record.
