Mr. Leon Siegel?s term of office on the Board of Water Commissioners will

expire on December 31, 2005. The State law that established this board requires

its members to be appointed in July for a term of office beginning the

following January.



Mr. Siegel was nominated to serve on the board in 1998 to fill the

unexpired term of Mr. Tommy Davis. He was reappointed for a new term of office

to begin 2001 and when this term of office expires in December this will be the

end of that first full term of office. He is eligible to succeed himself;

however, it is my understanding that he does not wish to continue to serve

again.



Members of this board are appointed exclusively by the Council.



Including Mr. Siegel, there are three board members who reside in

Senatorial District 29 and one who resides in Senatorial District 15. There is

one woman currently serving on this board.



Enclosed, is a copy of our data sheet, as well as a list of the current

members on this board.
