O R D I N A N C E S:





(1) 2nd Reading - Amending Ordinance No. 01-104 which designated the Peacock

Woods-Dimon Circle Historic District as an official historic district in

Columbus, Georgia by excluding the properties contained in the block located

south of 17th Street, west of Forest Avenue, north of Brookside Drive and east

of Flournoy Drive until such time as the properties located within said block

are sold, transferred or conveyed in any manner to another party. (Councilor

Smith) (NoteIf this ordinance is adopted, it will amend Ordinance No. 01-104

adopted on November 13, 2001 and will also amend Ordinance No. 01-111 adopted

on November 20, 2001.)



(2) 2nd Reading ? Repealing Chapter 11, Article II, Subsections 11-17.4 (c) and

(d) of the Columbus Code and authorizing staffing and compensation for

temporarily vacant promotional positions. (Councilor Pugh)



(3) 2nd Reading ? Enacting the plan submitted by the Council Districting

Commission according to Section 6-102 of the Columbus Charter for

reapportionment of Council districts. (Council Districting Commission)(As

amended by the Columbus Council to incorporate the map designated as option

number 3 by the Districting Commission.)





R E S O L U T I O N S:



(4) Commending and congratulating the first Management Development Program

graduates for their commitment, hard work and personal growth in this important

program of professional development. (Councilor Smith)



(5) Commending and expressing appreciation to the 2001 Council Districting

Commission members for submitting a recommended reapportionment plan required

by the Columbus Charter. (Columbus Council)



(6) Commending and expressing deep appreciation to Columbus Police Chief

Willie Dozier, Muscogee County Sheriff Ralph Johnson, Fire Chief Roy Waters,

EMS Chief David Arrington, Mayor Bobby Peters and their personnel for their

outstanding work during the protest held against the Western Hemisphere

Institute for Security Cooperation at Fort Benning on November 18 and 19,
