WHEREAS, Mr. William Lewis, Sr. former employee with the Public Services

Department, died on June 24, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Lewis retired on May 31, 1980 after serving 13 years with the

Public Services Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. William Lewis our sincere condolences and

deepest sympathy. Mr. Lewis was an outstanding employee of the Public Services

Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Maxine B. Thomann, former employee with the Columbus Police

Department, died on July 6, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mrs. Thomann retired on August 31, 1985 after serving 15 years with

the Columbus Police Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mrs. Maxine B. Thomann our sincere

condolences and deepest sympathy. Mrs. Thomann was an outstanding employee of

the Columbus Police Department and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Department, died on July 12, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Epperly retired on August 31, 1981 after serving 21 years with the

Public Services Department.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Ortho E. Epprely our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Epperly was an outstanding employee of the Public

Services Department and he will be missed by all who knew him.

died on August 11, 2002;

WHEREAS, Mr. Jackson retired on September 30, 1995 after serving over 28 years

with the Columbus Water works.

NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby convey to the family of Mr. Robert L. Jackson our sincere condolences

and deepest sympathy. Mr. Jackson was an outstanding employee of the Columbus

Water Works and he will be missed by all who knew him.
