WHEREAS, Reginald L. Pugh, President and CEO of the Urban League of Greater

Columbus, was recently selected as 2005 Citizen of the Year by the Omega Psi

Phi Fraternity;



WHEREAS, Mr. Pugh is the President of the local Lambda Iota Chapter and

has been a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity for over 25 years;



WHEREAS, he was selected for this honor based upon outstanding leadership and

involvement within the Columbus community and the State of Georgia;



WHEREAS, Mr. Pugh?s selection by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity as Citizen of the

Year is worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate Reginald L. Pugh upon his being selected as 2005

Citizen of the Year by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Let a copy of this

resolution be forwarded to Mr. Reginald L. Pugh.
