A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Dimitri Herring, Dewayne Hadley, Antawan Armour and Kyle Morse
recently found a purse containing $740.00 in cash and other personal items;
WHEREAS, the boys brought the purse to the Columbus Public Safety building on
October 31, 2003, and turned the item over to police personnel;
WHEREAS, the owner was called to collect her purse and she showed up at the
police station in disbelief;
WHEREAS, the boys and friends Lisa Richardson and Talisha Jordan are to be
commended for their honest actions and good citizenship and their efforts are
worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend Dimitri Herring, Dewayne Hadley, Antawan Armour and Kyle
Morse for their actions in returning a woman's purse containing $740.00 in cash
and other personal items on October 31, 2003. These boys and their friends
Lisa Richardson and Talisha Jordan are to be congratulated for their honesty
and good citizenship, particularly during this holiday season. We wish each of
them and their families every success during the coming years. Let a copy of
this resolution be forwarded to the above-named individuals.

16th day of December, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote
