AN ORDINANCE



AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE STATE COURT FY03 BUDGET FROM $489,674 TO

$454,674 AND AMENDING THE PUBLIC DEFENDER FY03 BUDGET FROM $963,672 TO $998,672

TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR TWO STATE COURT PUBLIC DEFENDERS.



WHEREAS, Council approved two public defenders for the State Court;



WHEREAS, all public defenders are contract employees and are accounted

for in the Public Defenders budget;



WHEREAS, the amendment will transfer $35,000 from the State Court

budget to the Public Defender budget to account for all funding for the two

State Court public defenders.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



1. The State Court budget is decreased in the amount of $35,000 for a total

revised budget of $454,674.



2. The Public Defender budget is increased in the amount of $35,000 for a total

revised budget of $998,672.
