A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE

AGREEMENT WITH MAIN STREET BASEBALL LLC FOR THE LEASE OF GOLDEN PARK FROM

NOVEMBER 1, 2005 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2008.



WHEREAS, the lease agreement between Columbus and Main Street Baseball

LLC (The Columbus Catfish) expires on October 31, 2005; and,



WHEREAS, The Columbus Catfish baseball team has expressed an interest

in again leasing Golden Park; and,



WHEREAS, discussions with Columbus have led to the drafting of a new lease

agreement between Columbus and Main Street Baseball LLC.; and,



WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to authorize the City

Manager to enter into a lease agreement with Main Street Baseball for the

period of November 1, 2005 through September 30, 2008.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS

FOLLOWS:



That the City Manager is authorized to enter into a new lease agreement

with Main Street Baseball LLC for the lease of Golden Park for the period of

November 1, 2005 through September 30, 2008.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held the
