FINANCE DEPARTMENT:
Have the staff to prepare a resolution thanking Finance Director Kay Love
for her services to the Columbus Consolidated Government, as well as to
congratulate the Finance Department for once again receiving the Certificate of
Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. (Request of Councilor
Woodson)

TO THE CITY MANAGER:
HOME POLICY/SECTION 8 VOUCHER PROGAM:
Have the staff to provide all of the facts and the details, which includes
an honest evaluation of the pros and cons of this program; because we will be
asked to be a third mortgagee. Also, provide some of the successes and
failures of this program in the United States. (Request of Mayor Poydasheff)
Have the staff to provide some background information from some of the
cities that are currently undertaking this project, to include; perhaps, if
there has been any increase in foreclosures. Also, determine if they have some
type of home program that the City is currently sponsoring, helping with
purchase assistance. (Request of Councilor Henderson)
Have the staff to also provide the percentage of people who would qualify
for this program, as well as outline the qualifications to participate in this
program. (Request of Councilor Suber)
