A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Columbus Civic Center has been named one of the top entertainment

venues for 2004 and will receive a 2004 Prime Site Award from Facilities

Magazine;



WHEREAS, the Prime Site Awards are based on the opinions of hospitality

industry members involved with site selection, promotion and booking and

consider location convenience, facility attractiveness, technological

capabilities, ease of setup/breakdown, maintenance and quality of staff;



WHEREAS, in 2004, the Columbus Civic Center hosted Harry Connick, Jr., Alabama,

Disney on Ice, Nashville Star, Lonestar, Gerald Levert, KC and JoJo, Keith

Sweat, Ron White, Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich;



WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Columbus Civic Center employees and General

Manager J. Dale Hester are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Columbus Civic Center employees and General

Manager J. Dale Hester upon their receipt of the 2004 Prime Site Award by

Facilities Magazine. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to J. Dale

Hester.
