A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the State Office of EMS has notified Columbus Technical College
regarding pass rates for applicants to the National Registry of EMT
Intermediate written examination;
WHEREAS, the national and state first attempt pass rate for this examination in
2003 is 64% and 63%, respectively;
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Nathan "Nate" Bader became the EMT instructor for the
Columbus Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services in April, 2002;
WHEREAS, since April 2002, Columbus Firefighters have achieved three
consecutive exam pass rates of 90% or greater on the first attempt of the
National Registry EMT-Intermediate written examination;
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Bader's April 2003 Firefighter EMT class has achieved the
top pass rate of 94% on first attempt on the EMT-Intermediate written
examination for year-to-date in the State of Georgia;
WHEREAS, this latest outstanding achievement places the Columbus Technical
College EMT Technology Program at number one in the State of Georgia for 2003;
WHEREAS, this accomplishment has been attributed by Columbus Technical College
to Lieutenant Bader's abilities, dedication and convictions regarding high
quality EMS education honestly earned, and is worthy of special recognition by
this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Lieutenant Nathan "Nate" Bader upon his
April 2003 Firefighter EMT Class having a top pass rate of 94% first attempt on
the EMT-Intermediate written examination for year-to-date in the State of
Georgia. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Lieutenant Bader.
