A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, the State Office of EMS has notified Columbus Technical College
regarding pass rates for applicants to the National Registry of EMT
Intermediate written examination;
WHEREAS, the national and state first attempt pass rate for this examination in
2003 is 64% and 63%, respectively;
WHEREAS, since June 2002, Columbus Technical College EMT Program has achieved
five consecutive exam pass rates of 90% or greater on the first attempt of the
National Registry EMT-Intermediate written examination;
WHEREAS, the Columbus Technical College April 2003 EMT graduate class has
achieved the top pass rate of 94% on first attempt on the EMT-Intermediate
written examination for year-to-date in the State of Georgia;
WHEREAS, this latest outstanding achievement places the Columbus Technical
College EMT Technology Program at number one in the State of Georgia for 2003;
WHEREAS, this accomplishment has been attributed by Columbus Technical College
to Program Manager Michael Charles' commitment, dedication and convictions to
the highest quality emergency medical services training and education, and is
worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Michael Charles, Program Manager for
Columbus Technical College EMS Programs, for his leadership in the achievement
of the number one pass rate on first attempt of the National EMT-Intermediate
written examination for 2003 in the State of Georgia. Let a copy of this
resolution be forwarded to Michael Charles and the President of Columbus
Technical College.
