An Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance of the Consolidated

Government of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changing the zoning text of

Section 22-36 Administration of Chapter, so as to change the color of lettering

on zoning signs as it refers to sign sections ?Present Zoning? and ?Proposed

Zoning? from black to red.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:





Section 22-36 of the Columbus Code is amended by changing Subsection

(C)(9)(d) to read as follows:



(C) Amendment to Zoning Ordinance

(9) Posting notice of rezoning petition

(d) The signs shall be placed on the property at five hundred-foot intervals.

If the property in question has a five hundred-foot or less frontage,

only one (1) sign is required. Where property does not front on an

existing right-of-way, said sign shall be placed within one (1) foot of

the right-of-way of the nearest street or road. The sign shall read as

follows:

Said sign shall be of wood or metal, at least forty-eight (48) vertical inches

by seventy-two (72) horizontal inches in size, and the lettering thereon shall

be black letters on a white background and shall be at least three (3) inches

in height, with the exception of ?Present Zoning? and ?Proposed Zoning?. These

sections and the corresponding districts stated shall be red letters on a white

background and shall be at least three (3) inches in height.
