An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changing certain boundaries of a district

8127 Midland Road, from A-1 (Agricultural) District to R-1 (Low Density

Residential) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property from A-1 (Agricultural)

District to R-1 (Low Density Residential) District:



Part of Land Lot 27, 18th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and

being more particularly described as follows:



Beginning at an iron pin at the intersection of the southwesterly right-of-way

line of Midland Road with the south line of Land Lot 27, 18th District and run

thence south 86 degrees 41 minutes west along the south line of Land Lot 27,

18th District a distance of 2339.52 feet to an iron pin; thence run north 03

degrees 19 minutes west a distance of 700.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run

north 86 degrees 41 minutes east a distance of 1728.00 feet to an iron pin on

the southwesterly right-of-way line of Midland Road; thence run along the

southwesterly right-of-way line of Midland Road along a radius to the right of

925.37 feet an arc distance of 97.71 feet to an iron pin; thence continue along

the southwesterly right-of-way line of Midland Road south 44 degrees 02 minutes

east a distance of 761.14 feet to an iron pin; thence continue along the

southwesterly right-of-way line of Midland Road along a radius to the left of

1462.69 feet an arc distance of 70.81 feet to an iron pin at the point of

beginning. Containing 32.713 acres.





The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:



1. A deceleration lane shall be required as determined by the City Traffic

Engineer.

2. Only one access shall be allowed onto Midland Road.

3. All lots shall access interior streets and not Midland Road.
