SUBJECT: STREET ACCEPTANCE

Recommendation: Approve the acceptance of the deed to Waterstone Drive,
Waterview Drive and Waterstone Court located in Section Two, Waterstone
Subdivision.
Background: Section Two, Waterstone Subdivision, currently consists of 23
residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required
specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been submitted conveying to the City Waterstone Drive,
Waterview Drive and Waterstone Court located in Section Two, Waterstone
Subdivision. Description of the property is as follows: ?All those lots,
tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lot 267 of the 19th
District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as all of Waterstone
Drive, Waterview Drive and Waterstone Court as said roads and rights-of-way are
shown on the map or plat entitled "Section Two, Waterstone, lying in Land Lot
267, 19th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", prepared by Hobbs
Smith & Associates, Inc., dated January 25, 2002, said plat recorded in Plat
Book 145, Page 92, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee
County, Georgia, and to which map or plat reference is hereby made for a more
particular description of the streets hereby conveyed.?
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty expires.
Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,
all dedicated right-of-ways must be accepted by written Resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting the deed to
Waterstone Drive, Waterview Drive and Waterstone Court located in Section Two,
Waterstone Subdivision.
