A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, Columbus businesswoman Miriam Tidwell, owner of Miriam's Caf? and

Gallery and her husband, Dr. Jack Tidwell, recently sponsored the second "God

Bless Fort Benning" rally in Columbus;



WHEREAS, participants at the rally also brought toys to be distributed by

Santa's Castle program to families of soldiers who are serving away from home

during the holidays;



WHEREAS, the Tidwells graciously supported Fort Benning and our troops during

the weekend of November 22-23, 2003 and their efforts are worthy of special

recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and express our deep appreciation to Jack and Miriam Tidwell

who sponsored the second "God Bless Fort Benning" rally during the weekend of

November 22-23, 2003. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to

Miriam and Jack Tidwell.
