REFERRALS FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL
COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 21, 2005
TO THE CITY MANAGER:
BRITTON REZONING PETITION:
Have the staff to look into possibly changing the speed limit from the
stretch of road on Mobley Road to Britton Road. Also consider putting in a
flashing light in this area, similar to the ones that are used in the school
zones, to help make people aware that there are going to be cars pulling out of
this area. Also, talk to the Georgia Department of Transportation about the
possibility of taking the hump out of the road, so there will be a clear sight
distance all the way to Britton Road. (Request of Councilor Davis)
Also, have the staff to give a recommendation to the Council, from a
public safety prospective and safety prospective for the residents, as to the
closing of Britton Road. (Request of Councilor Henderson) Make sure that we
talk to the public safety personnel in this regard. (Request of Mayor
Poydasheff)

MAPS ON REZONING:
Have the staff to work on improving the maps on the computer that are
shown on the rezoning petitions. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)

STREET ACCEPTANCE:
Have the staff to provide a status report on an earlier request for them
to look at waiting until all phases of a subdivision is completed before we
accept the streets in that subdivision. (Request of Councilor Davis)
