MINUTES #28-05



The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at

2:00PM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessors Richard Stallings, Ann

Grantham, William Braxton and Pat Hunter present. Also present was Chief

Appraiser Martin J. Land.



Assessor Pat Hunter made a motion to approve Minutes # 27-05, Assessor Ann

Grantham seconded the motion, motion carried unanimously.



Chief Appraiser Martin Land presented a letter received from Mrs. Walker

regarding her appearance before the Board last week requesting homestead

exemption be reinstated for parcel ID 050 009 008. The letter stated she wishes

to withdraw her request for homestead exemption to be reinstated. Assessor Ann

Grantham made a motion to reverse the Board?s last week?s decision to reinstate

the homestead exemption and deny reinstatement of the homestead exemption for

all years. Assessor Pat Hunter seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Met with Personal Property Division Chief Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved

the following:



Assessment Corrections: 4(-)

The Board discussed an appeal of a personal property development authority

bond.
