A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, this Council has previously expressed its opposition to proposed HR 58

WHEREAS, this Council prefers that the Georgia General Assembly study
other options including allowing county governments discretion to decide
whether to impose a sales and use tax for education in place of ad valorem tax
for education.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby express our opposition to proposed HR 58 in the Georgia General
Assembly. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the local legislative
