AN ORDINANCE

An ordinance amending Section 21-14 of the Columbus Code so as to increase the
membership of the Columbus Taxicab Commission from seven members to nine
members with the two additional members serving at large.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 21-14 of the Columbus Code is hereby amended by deleting the
first sentence in its entirety and by adding the following new first sentence:
"There is hereby created a Columbus Taxicab Commission to be composed of
nine members appointed by the Columbus Council and consisting of two taxicab
owners, one taxicab driver, one representative selected by the Columbus Chamber
of Commerce, one representative selected by the chief of police, one
representative of the Columbus Airport Commission, one representative of the
hotel/motel industry, and two representatives from the community at large."
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
The purpose of this ordinance is to increase the membership of the
Columbus Taxicab Commission from seven members to nine members.
