A RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, the Bull Creek Babe Ruth 13 Year-Old Baseball team recently won the
2004 Georgia State Championship;
WHEREAS, the Bull Creek team then advanced to the Southeast Regionals held in
Mobile, Alabama and finished fifth in the tournament overall;
WHEREAS, the team missed the semi-finals by one run, losing to Florida 3-2, but
beat teams from Tennessee and Virginia;
WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the Bull Creek Babe Ruth 13 Year-Old
Baseball team upon their victory in the 2004 Georgia State Championship and
upon their participation in the Southeast Regionals held in Mobile, Alabama:
Manager Mark Freiler and Coaches Mark Fell and Phil Wise, and Players Neal
Amos, Trent Bailey, Cal Braski, Daniel Brewer, Drew, Brooks, Bryan Brown,
Phillip Ellis, Andrew Gash, Cooper Martin, Zach Murphy, Eric Nichols, Nelson
Ramas, Chandler Snell, Chris Weed and Phil Wise. Columbus is truly proud of
this team's hard work and dedication and we wish them every success in the
future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the above-named
participants.
